Emma Son

UX Research to Uncover + AI to Build UX = EMMA

Hi, I’m Emma!

I’m a product designer studying UX Design and HCI at the University of Texas at Austin. I turn user behavior into product decisions, especially in AI-assisted workflows and complex B2B tools. UX Research to Find Friction. AI to Build UX.

Before Austin, I worked across product design and UX research at Windly and Karrot. I’m drawn to unclear, information-heavy problems—the kind that need equal parts research, systems thinking, and careful interaction design.

I care about making technology feel understandable without sanding away its personality. I’m currently open to thoughtful collaborations and conversations about product design.

More about me...

Emma enjoying a sunny day in the city

A sunny day, a long walk, and probably another place bookmarked.

Dream until it is your reality written in pink chalk

A sidewalk reminder I wanted to keep.

Emma enjoying a large street food wrap

I plan trips around good food more often than I admit.

The University of Texas tower glowing red at night

Austin nights, burnt orange lights, and a very loud crowd.
